⏩ How to Choose the Sheen of Paint on Your Home

We get asked all the time: “What sheen of paint should I use for the outside of my home?”

Our answer is always the same.

Take it from us, shinier paint holds up better.

Flat paint is going to begin to fade within 6 months to a year and a half at most if not completely fade by this time.

What we at Pinon Painting encourage you to do is let us paint your home with the shiniest paint that you can tolerate.

We are mostly using satin, but always try to convince customers to use semi-gloss; which will hold up even better.

When compared side-by-side, most people can’t notice the difference between the two.

So, when choosing the sheen on your paint, go with the shinier one. In the long run, it is the more durable and better option in our intense, Arizona sun.
